Celebrated my husband's birthday with our two little ones (4 and 7) and it was absolutely fantastic! Our server was amazing – so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We kicked off with raw oysters, French onion soup, and crab soup, all delicious and filling. The kids loved the oysters and crab soup. Our filets were cooked to perfection, hands down the best steaks we've ever had, and the sides, especially the creamed spinach, were equally delightful. Portions were generous, leaving us with enough leftovers for another great meal. We've been raving to everyone about this spot in Charleston!
We had reservations for our anniversary, and we had a great time. The waiter, Mr. JB was amazing and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious. The appetizers were fulfilling. However, I still ordered an entrée and desert. I couldn't help myself, I wanted more.
Pictured below, not in order or the specific titles from the menu, but just so you have an idea of what you should try. Salmon, seared scallops, grilled octopus w/arugula, calamari, cream styled corn with cheese, asparagus, and peach cobbler. Everything was great, we will definitely return.
Visiting Charleston for a few days to rest and relax. Found this place while looking through places and menus online when planning the trip as the best places will require reservations, as this one does.
Did not get any appetizers as we wanted to lessen the chances at needing to-go boxes. No mixed drinks, we opted for a bottle of red wine instead. I got the aged ribeye, rare, and it was unbelievably tender with an amazing bold taste that comes through. My fiance had the steak fromage that I tried a bite of and it was also great but we both agreed the ribeye was better. For sides we went with the fried green tomatoes and the arancini. These sides were way bigger than we thought we were getting, so we needed a box anyway. The arancini gives you 4 large balls and the fried green tomatoes came with 6 slices, so both were equal to what I normally see as an appetizer elsewhere. All the staff were amazing and attentive.
Skipped dessert, we were too stuffed.
Only complaint is when they packaged up the leftovers they forgot to give me the sauce with the fried green tomatoes. It was a really good remoulade (could taste hints of horseradish) which was a welcome change to the normal spicy cream sauce you normally get. I wanted the sauce. 😭
This is a must try place. Excellent customer service excellent food excellent quality of food excellent experience. Next time I am in the Charleston North Carolina area it's a must for me. You order your protein and the other options can be family style worked out perfect for the party group.
Very traditional steakhouse but with a Charleston flair. The dining room was cozy and intimate with wood walls and high back chairs. The service was precise. The food was delicious and as an added bonus the gluten free bread was amazing. Don't forget to order a Nitrotini, they are fun!
We went to celebrate my Birthday. The place is beautiful. It was decorated lovely for the holiday. The waiter was amazing, the food was great especially the garlic calamari was delicious. We highly recommend it.
Excellent service, beautiful ambiance and amazing food, our first time and we are delighted, an absolute must when visiting Charleston, I usually don’t like restaurants that are in a hotel but this one is a truly great place, the best prime rib stake in the area. Jimmy our server made our time there lovely, thank you
This might be the best thing I've ever eaten. There were several points where I nearly cried from pure joy at what my tastebuds were doing. I HIGHLY recommend the molten raspberry cake and the fried calamari. The portions are generous the decor is gorgeous and everyone there was so kind. Thank yall for making my 20th birthday amazing
